In view of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s (UPSSSC) preliminary eligibility test (PET-2026), all schools up to class 12 in Ghaziabad will remain closed on October 30. The District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) has issued an order in this regard, declaring a one-day academic holiday.
The PET-2026 exam in the district will be held on October 30 and November 1. A total of 44 centers have been set up in the district for the examination, where the examination will be held in two shifts on both days. Around 20,000 candidates are expected to appear in each shift.
Decision given traffic pressure
With a large number of candidates appearing in the examination, their parents are also likely to reach Ghaziabad. This is expected to increase the congestion in the city and affect the traffic system. Keeping this in mind, the administration has decided to declare a holiday in schools on October 30. Instructions have been given to the officials to ensure strict compliance of the order.
