The police have unearthed the murder case of Samajwadi Party district secretary Pawan Yadav in Handia area of Prayagraj. The police have arrested four accused involved in the incident. Two of the accused were trying to escape from the police and opened fire on the police team. In retaliation, both of them were shot in the leg. The injured accused Lalla Yadav and Nehal Ali have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to the police, both Pawan Yadav and Vinod Yadav were associated with the Samajwadi Party. The dispute between the two started after Vinod Yadav’s wife won the election of Pradhan. According to the police, Vinod’s wife, who was also a teacher, had objected to her job. He was then fired from his job. Since then, the rivalry between the two has increased.
Murder conspiracy due to old enmity
The police claim that due to this old enmity, Vinod Yadav conspired to kill Pawan Yadav. After the incident, the police scanned the footage of more than 50 CCTV cameras in search of the accused. With the help of mobile location, the police traced Nehal Ali and Lalla Yadav.
The accused were arrested after the shooting.
According to the police, the team had laid a cordon to nab the two accused, but they opened fire on the police while trying to escape. After this, the police retaliated, in which both the accused were shot in the leg and they were arrested.
Vinod and Brijesh Yadav had already been arrested.
The police had earlier arrested Vinod Yadav and Brijesh Yadav in connection with the case. According to the police, Lalla Yadav is a history-sheeter, while Brijesh Yadav has 45 cases registered against him. The police are now probing other aspects involved in the murder and the role of the accused. The accused are being questioned. There may be many other revelations in this case.
