A very shameful case has come to light from Motihari district of Bihar, which has torn the relationship between the guru and the disciple. A private tuition maths teacher lured his own student, a minor girl of class 9, into his love trap and lured her to Nepal to sell her. However, the Indo-Nepal border was caught at Mahuawa. While crossing the SSB Mahuawa check post to Nepal, the teacher and the student were stopped and interrogated in a suspicious situation, after which it was revealed that Qasim Alam, a mathematics teacher of Model School +2 Saraswati Vidya Niketan in Lakhaura, was luring a student of his own school and taking her to sell her in Nepal. But SSB Mahuawa arrested her and handed over the girl to Mahuawa police station. In this case, the Mahuawa police station has taken legal action and sent the arrested teacher Qasim Alam to jail. At the same time, the minor girl has been sent to Childline Motihari, from where a medical examination will be done.
Teacher suspended
District Education Officer (DEO) Rajan Giri has taken cognizance of the matter and suspended teacher Mohammad Qasim. The suspended teacher Qasim Alam was deputed in June 2026 as a teacher of mathematics subject at Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Lakhaura. He was originally posted as a teacher of Kadhan High School in Kesariya block of the district. Since Lakhaura High School was converted into a model school and there was no mathematics teacher, the District Education Officer had deputed the teacher of Kadhan High School there. Under this order, Qasim Alam joined as a mathematics teacher in June 2026.
A teacher of Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Lakhaura (Model School + 2) in
East Champaran district has been caught while trafficking a girl student of the school to Nepal. As soon as the incident was reported, there was a huge outrage among the locals of Lakhaura Chowk. People protested fiercely and reached the school with the crowd and shouted slogans. The arrested accused human trafficking teacher has been identified as Qasim Alam (father – Zahir Alam), a resident of Pipra village under Darpa police station area under Chauradano block of East Champaran district.
