A Samadhan Shivir held at the Hansi district secretariat on Thursday caused major inconvenience to the public, especially senior citizens, due to poor arrangements. While the administration claimed the camp aimed to resolve citizens’ grievances, many elderly people had to stand in queues for hours waiting for their turn.
The camp was attended by ADC Lakshit Shareen, BJP Hansi district president Ashok Saini, and general secretary Dharmveer Rateria. A large number of residents came to air their grievances, but the lack of proper seating arrangements created difficulties for the elderly visitors.
Several senior citizens expressed frustration, saying that grievance camps have become a mere formality as their issues remain unresolved despite repeated visits. However, the ADC heard the complaints and directed the officials concerned to take necessary action.
Retired employee Mahaveer Sehrawat from Vikas Nagar raised concerns about road sampling from Hisar Chungi to Sainik School. The ADC ordered fresh sampling and directed the officials concerned to ensure the complainant’s presence during the process.
Other key issues raised included disability and old-age pensions, ration cards, water drainage, potholes in colonies and delays in property documentation. Satish Kumar from Model Town complained about waiting for a conveyance deed for the past three years, while residents also highlighted the poor condition of Amti Talab.
SDM Rajesh Khoth told the mediapersons that Hansi district is only three months old and the administration is gradually improving infrastructure. He added that a conference hall is being set up at the district secretariat.
