Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar’s film, *Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge*, is delivering a record-breaking performance at the box office. Within just three days of its release, the film has crossed the ₹500 crore mark globally, setting a new benchmark. Meanwhile, in India, the film has already joined the coveted ₹300 crore club, a testament to the magnitude of its success.
According to trade reports, the film raked in ₹113 crore in India on its third day—Saturday—with the Hindi version alone contributing ₹105 crore to the total. Consequently, the film’s cumulative domestic box office collection has now reached ₹339.27 crore. Surpassing the ₹300 crore milestone in a mere three days is being hailed as a monumental achievement in its own right, underscoring the film’s immense popularity.
Positive audience reception and strong word-of-mouth have played a pivotal role in the film’s success. On social media, Ranveer Singh’s powerful acting and Aditya Dhar’s directorial prowess are garnering widespread acclaim. The film also capitalized significantly on the Eid weekend, and trade analysts predict that it could gross anywhere between ₹400 crore and ₹500 crore by the end of its opening weekend.
The film features a stellar supporting cast, with actors such as R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi appearing in pivotal roles. *Dhurandhar 2* is an action-thriller in which Ranveer Singh portrays the character of Hamza Ali Mazari, a spy.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s film, *Ustaad Bhagat Singh*, is facing stiff competition from *Dhurandhar 2*. The film earned ₹34.75 crore on its first day, ₹9 crore on the second day, and ₹9.15 crore on the third day. Consequently, its total domestic collection has reached ₹52.90 crore; however, its momentum appears to be slowing down in the face of the *Dhurandhar 2* juggernaut.
