Muzaffarpur: A minor dispute took a bloody turn in Chhapra Dharampur Yadu village of Laskaripur panchayat under Kanti police station area of Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district. A young man was stabbed to death in the chest by miscreants over a dispute over a goat going to a neighbour’s farm. The young man’s body was stabbed with a knife in about a dozen places. After the incident, the accused Shubham and Sunny Kumar escaped with the family. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Since the incident, there is an atmosphere of silence and tension in the entire area, while the family is in a bad condition crying.
Blood games when the goat grazes
According to local villagers, Santosh Kumar’s goat had gone to the farm of neighbour Arun Sah on Sunday evening. The farm owner alleged that the goat had grazed his crop. An argument started between the two sides about this matter. Seeing this, the dispute escalated so much that there was abuse and fighting.
Man stabbed to death in chest
During the altercation, the accused lost his temper. In the midst of the scuffle, the accused stabbed Santosh directly in the chest with a knife. There was an outcry on the spot. As soon as he received a deep wound, Santosh fell to the ground bleeding and started writhing. On hearing about the incident, the villagers rushed the injured Santosh to Sri Krishna Medical College for treatment, where doctors declared him dead after examination.
The accused fled from the spot.
As soon as the incident was reported, Additional Station House Officer Jitendra Kumar Chaurasia of Kanti police station reached the spot with the police force and started investigating the matter. After the incident, the main accused, Shubham Kumar alias Sunny Kumar, fled the house with his family. The police have taken the body and sent it for post-mortem. The deceased Santosh, who worked as a mason, has four small children, including two sons and two daughters. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village after the incident.
SDPO West Suchitra Kumari said that Santosh Sah was stabbed to death. Two people are being named in the murder. Raids are being conducted to arrest him. FSL was called to the spot and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
