A chilling case of hooliganism has surfaced from Delhi, where a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death and the main accused later posted a story on Instagram, boasting to his followers about his crime.
“Tumhare bhai ne ek murder maar diya hain. Tumhara bhai kuch dino ke liye andar jaa raha hain… Saare bhai pyaar dena (Your brother has committed a murder. Your brother is going behind bars for a few days… Keep sending your love),” 18-year-old Karan alias Tarun said in a video addressed to his followers.
He, along with two of his associates, including a juvenile, allegedly carried out a fatal attack on Nitesh alias Nikki after a minor argument.
The victim was allegedly stabbed by Karan multiple times, according to the police. The incident took place in Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh area late Thursday.
“The injured was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” a police officer was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
Interestingly, all three accused were caught by the police within just four hours of the murder. While the juvenile accused has been detained, Karan and his aide Monty (22) have been arrested.
The police relied on technical surveillance and information gathered from locals to solve the case, officials said. Nitesh and all three accused were residents of the same locality.
Further investigation is underway to establish the exact sequence of events and recover the weapon used in the murder, per the police.
