Krishna Prasad Singh, a domestic electricity consumer living in Jai Hind Gali of Gulzarbagh in Alamganj police station area, suddenly saw a bill of Rs 2,33,24,112 in his electricity account. Seeing the electricity bill of crores of rupees, Krishna Prasad Singh got a strong shock and suddenly collapsed. The family members picked him up by splashing water and fed him medicine.
Electricity bill of more than Rs 2.33 crore
Krishna Prasad Singh said that he has taken a domestic electricity connection for his house. On September 30, 2026, when he saw his electricity bill and account information, he was shocked. Suddenly an amount of Rs 2,33,24,112 was visible in his account. He says that after seeing such a huge bill on the domestic electricity connection, he did not understand on what basis such a large amount was added to his account.
The health of the young man deteriorated after seeing the bill of crores
According to the consumer, earlier the balance of only Rs 206 was visible in the electricity account on his mobile. Suddenly seeing a bill of crores of rupees, he became mentally disturbed and his health deteriorated as soon as he saw the bill. The family members immediately took care of him and lifted him up by pouring water. After this, medicine was also given.
Major negligence of the electricity department
Krishna Prasad Singh questioned the functioning of the electricity department and said that such a mistake is very serious. He said that it is a big negligence to suddenly reach the account of a common domestic consumer. He said that such negligence can also cost a person’s life. Seeing such a huge amount in the electricity bill suddenly can make any person nervous.
The amount of the bill was changed after the complaint
Krishna Prasad Singh sent his son to the office of the electricity department regarding the matter. There, the department clerk said that there was a mistake in the bill and assured that it would be corrected soon. After the assurance received from the department, the family got some relief, but due to the bill of crores of rupees, there was concern in the family for a long time. It is a matter of relief that the department has improved the electricity bill. After the reform, the balance of Rs 333.45 is now visible in the electricity account of the consumer. Krishna Prasad Singh and his family heaved a sigh of relief after the bill of crores of rupees was reduced and the actual account amount was revealed.
