On the last day of Ganesh Utsav, Anant Chaturdashi Kal: Worship Lord Ganesha with Panchamrit, immersion of clay idol of Lord Ganesha at home

The Ganesh festival has now reached its final stage. Devotees of Lord Ganesha worship the idol of Lord Ganesha on Anant Chaturdashi. This year, the Ganesh festival will conclude on Friday, September 25. On this day, devotees will bid farewell to Ganpati Bappa.

Many people immerse the Ganesh idol in a river, pond or other water bodies, however, the immersion of the Ganesh idol made of clay can be easily done at home as well. Along with religious beliefs, immersion in the house is also beneficial from the point of view of the environment. This helps in reducing pollution caused by idols, flower garlands and worship materials going into water sources.

Ujjain’s astrologer Pt. According to Manish Sharma, to immerse the Ganesh idol in the house, water should be filled in a clean and big vessel. After the puja, the idol can be immersed in this vessel. When the clay idol is completely dissolved in water, then that soil and water can be put in plants or pots around the house.

How you can perform Ganesh Puja on Anant Chaturdashi

Before immersing the idol of Ganesha on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, he should be worshiped with full devotion. For this, wake up early in the morning and clean the place of worship in the house after bathing. First of all, sprinkle water, milk and Panchamrit on the clay idol of Ganesha. Panchamrit is made by mixing milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar candy. While spraying Panchamrit, keep the mind as if we are anointing God. Offering too much water, milk and Panchamrit can melt the idol, so these liquid things should be sprinkled on the idol.

Offer the sacred thread to God. Offer sandalwood, vermilion, abir, gulal, perfume and rice in the puja. Durva is considered to be a special favorite of Ganesha, so you must offer Durva in worship.

It is believed that Ganesha should offer 21 knots of Durva while chanting mantras. After this, offer laddus to God. Devotees can also offer other fruits and offerings as per their faith during the puja.

After the completion of the puja, perform the aarti of Lord Ganesha by lighting camphor. After the aarti, fold your hands and ask God for forgiveness for any mistake you have made knowingly or unknowingly. Receive the prasad with family members and distribute the prasad to other people as well. After this, the Ganesh idol should be immersed.

How you can immerse Ganesh idol at home

The clay statue will gradually begin to dissolve in water after some time. Let it remain in the same pot until the idol is completely dissolved. During this time, there is no need to break the statue or separate the soil. When the idol is completely dissolved in water, then that water and soil can be added to the pots, plants or garden soil of the house.
