Chandigarh: Former Enforcement Directorate (ED) deputy director Niranjan Singh and former DSP Balwinder Sekhon joined the Akali Dal Waris Punjab De on Wednesday. The duo joined the party in Chandigarh in the presence of Amritpal’s father Tarsem Singh and MLA Manpreet Ayali. Amritpal Singh, MP from Khadoor Sahib in Punjab, is the head of the Akali Dal Waris Punjab De.

Majithia has been questioned by former ED officers while he was a minister.

Niranjan Singh has been part of the investigation of several high-profile and high-profile cases while at the ED. He had also questioned Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia in connection with the drugs case. During the interrogation of this case, there was a lot of politics during that time about the transfer of Niranjan Singh.

Actually, Niranjan Singh had investigated in depth the money laundering in Punjab’s famous multi-crore synthetic drug racket i.e. Bhola Drug Case. He had also summoned former Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia for questioning in this connection.

What did Niranjan Singh say on entering politics?

Former deputy director of ED Niranjan Singh said that there was no plan to come into politics, but today the condition of Punjab has become worse. Today and even before too, the mafia is running the state. There was an irrigation scam in Punjab but this government came and did not take any action.

“Waris Punjab De has been working against drugs for a long time. But they need the support of the whole of Punjab, it is not a religious organization but an organization of all. I have no interest, I am here to support them. I will work against drugs and corruption. If the government is formed, the drug mafia and other mafias will have to leave the place.

‘3 ED directors did not allow me to investigate Majithia case’

Niranjan Singh said, “The 3 directors of the ED did not allow me to investigate the Bikram Majithia case. When the Government of India did not want an inquiry, how could I investigate? I had also written letters to the government about this. There is no government that does not misuse ED.
