The officer couple, who were embroiled in charges of disproportionate assets after the vigilance raids, have had a long career in government service. ADM (Supply) Ravindra Kumar Diwakar started his career as a teacher. After starting as a teacher in the year 2000, he stepped into the administrative service and held important positions in different districts.
From Teacher to District Information Officer
According to the Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Ravindra Kumar Diwakar was appointed as the District Information and Public Relations Officer in 2009. After this, administrative responsibilities increased with promotion. After serving as Senior Deputy Collector in Katihar and Darbhanga, he reached Saharsa.
Wife has been a sub-registrar for 13 years.
After this, she held the post of Sub-Registrar in Haveli Kharagpur from 2017 to 2021 and Sakra from 2021 to 2024. From the year 2024, she has been serving as a sub-registrar in Danapur.
The couple is now under surveillance scrutiny
The Vigilance Investigation Bureau (NIB) has carried out searches at the premises of the couple in Patna and Begusarai in connection with a disproportionate assets case. According to the investigating agency, cash, expensive watches, jewellery and documents related to property and investment have been found during the search.
According to the vigilance, the declared income and assets of the couple are being matched in the case registered against them. Verification of recovered documents and other assets is part of the investigation.
The information will also be given to the parent cadre
According to the vigilance department, the parent cadre of the two office bearers will also be informed of the action. At present, the investigating agency is taking further action on the basis of the recovered properties and documents.
