Bhagalpur: Criminals have committed a major incident in broad daylight challenging law and order in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) divisional president was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne criminals. After the incident, there was a stir in the area and there is an atmosphere of panic.
Where the incident
The incident took place in Qutubganj locality of Babarganj police station area where criminals on a bike shot Pappu dead. He died on the spot after being shot. After this incident of murder in broad daylight, there was a sensation in the entire area. As soon as the incident was reported, the Babarganj police station reached the spot. At the same time, Bhagalpur City SP Atulesh Jha also reached the spot with the team and took information about the case.
City SP Atulesh Jha said that the police are taking action to identify and arrest the criminals involved in the incident. The footage of CCTV cameras installed around the spot is being scanned to nab the culprits. He said that whoever is involved in the incident will not be spared at any cost. After getting information about the incident, BJP MLA Rohit Pandey also reached the spot. At present, the police are investigating the whole matter and raids are being conducted to arrest the criminals.
