Ludhiana: A woman MLA of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has had an altercation with a truck driver in Punjab’s Ludhiana. After the dispute, the woman MLA is accused of slapping the truck driver, the video of which is going viral. Now in this case, the truck driver’s associates are demanding the police to register an FIR. However, the explanation of the woman MLA has also come out in this case.
What is the whole matter?
In Ludhiana, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) woman MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina has been involved in a dispute with a truck driver. The incident is reported to have taken place on Monday afternoon in the Daba Road area.
According to the information received, the MLA’s car was coming from behind and the driver was constantly playing the hooter on the hooter to overtake him, but the truck did not move forward and did not give way.
After this, the MLA himself got out of the car and reached the truck with the gunman. In the CCTV video that surfaced, it is clearly seen that she herself is seen opening the door of the truck and getting the driver down.
In the viral video, the MLA is being claimed to have slapped the driver. However, after the incident, the driver’s other companions got angry when they came to know about it and demanded the police to register an FIR. Now the AAP government has been surrounded by many leaders of the opposition parties over this matter and it is being accused of arrogance and hooliganism of power.
MLA denies slapping
However, seeing the matter gaining momentum, the MLA has denied the slap. It has been clarified on his behalf that he had only snatched the key from the driver’s hand. All eyes are on the police investigation and further action in the case. But now this video has become a topic of discussion in the city.
Significantly, there is a government of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab and assembly elections can also be held in a few months. In such a situation, such a video of AAP MLA can prove to be a loss for the party in the election.
Earlier, this matter had also gained momentum when a Sikh youth was attacked in Punjab and Sukhbir Singh Badal had made serious allegations against AAP.
