The half-naked body of a woman was found in the corn field of Manjhi Bahirar near Sisba dam near Rampur village in Bharko panchayat on Monday morning. The woman seems to be around 30 years old. Preliminary investigations suggest strangulation to death and acid being poured on his face to hide his identity.
As soon as the information was received, the police and the Forensic Science Laboratory team reached the spot and started investigating, while a large number of people from nearby villages gathered at the spot. The woman has not been identified. SP Upendra Nath Verma has also reached the spot and investigated.According to the villagers, a farmer had gone to irrigate the corn crop in the field. During this time, his eyes fell on the body. The woman’s body was found lying near the ridge of a cornfield. Dark black marks were found on his face and neck. There was a strong foul smell coming from near the body.
The woman had white and brown slippers on both her feet. A white plastic bag was also found nearby. On receiving the information, the police cordoned off the spot and secured it. Preliminary investigations also suggest that she was murdered after rape. The police are investigating all aspects.
Police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar said that the body has been sent for post-mortem. Efforts are on to identify the woman. The cause of death will be clearly revealed only after the post-mortem report comes.
After the incident, hundreds of people gathered at the spot from villages around Rampur, Bharko, Surha, Navtolia, Pargha and Phullidumar police station area.

Due to the deserted area, the miscreants kill in another place and throw the body here. The police need to keep a serious eye on such cases.
