After winning the Tirhut graduate seat for the second time, MLC Banshidhar Brajwasi met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Brajwasi reached his wife, daughter and son Lok Sevak residence where the CM welcomed everyone. Brajwasi expressed gratitude to the CM as a big-hearted leader and criticized Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. He also explained the reason for meeting the CM. He also ruled out the possibility of joining any party for the time being. Narendra Singh, who won the Tirhut Teachers’ seat again, met the CM. The CM shared a photo on social media and congratulated the newly elected MLC on his victory.
Banshidhar Brajwasi defeated JD(U) candidate Abhishek Jha for the second time in the Tirhut graduate seat. In the mid-term elections held after the resignation of Devesh Chandra Thakur in 2024, Brajwasi became an MLC for the first time for two years. After becoming an MP from Sitamarhi, Devesh Chandra Thakur resigned from the post of Tirhut Graduate MLC. In that election too, Abhishek Jha had contested from the JD(U) quota and lost. In the MLC election 2026, Brajwasi defeated Abhishek Jha by a margin of more votes.
On this meeting, Banshidhar Brajwasi said that he always gets the affection of Samrat Chaudhary. After winning the election, on Thursday, he asked for a courtesy meeting with the CM and reached the public servant’s residence at the scheduled time. The MLC said that Samrat Chaudhary is the CM of the state. It is necessary to be in better touch with the CM to do public interest and development work. Describing it as a courtesy call, he said the meeting should not be politically interpreted. In the past, there have been meetings with the CM on many issues related to public interest. The CM has been getting a good response. He said that there is a possibility of meeting senior BJP leaders in the coming time.
In response to a question, Brajwasi said that Tejashwi Yadav turned out to be so impoverished that he did not even congratulate a word for the victory, despite having a relationship with him as a member of the House. Despite Brajwasi defeating the JD(U) candidate, Deputy Chief Minister and senior JD(U) leader Vijay Kumar Chaudhary openly congratulated him on his victory. But, even that did not happen from the memory of the Leader of the Opposition.
