Patna
Today, the auspicious festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated across the country with immense enthusiasm. On this occasion, grand processions have been organized in Patna as well by various *Puja* committees. All these tableaux are gradually converging at the Shri Ram Chowk, located at the Dak Bungalow intersection in Patna.
A massive stage has been erected at the Dak Bungalow intersection for the festivities, where several prominent NDA leaders—including Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, his son Nishant Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Chaudhary, and Sanjay Sarawagi—are present.
**The Area Resounds with Chants of “Jai Shri Ram”**
BJP National President Nitin Navin warmly welcomed all the leaders present on the stage. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Nitin Navin are honoring the tableaux as they arrive at the venue. The moment Nitish Kumar ascended the stage, chants of “Jai Shri Ram” erupted.
This marks the first time since assuming the office of National President that Nitin Navin is participating in such a grand event and welcoming the processions.
**The Weather Takes a Turn**
This year, on Ram Navami, 52 *Puja* committees in Patna are presenting their captivating tableaux. In the morning hours, people were struggling under the scorching sun; however, just before the procession began, the weather took a sudden turn.
Light drizzle and strong winds made the weather extremely pleasant, offering people significant relief from the heat. Thanks to the favorable weather, a massive crowd of devotees has thronged Shri Ram Chowk. Given the continuous influx of devotees, it is estimated that over 500,000 people are likely to gather here.
This year’s event is special in many respects. The main attraction of the program is the renowned actor Arun Govil—who immortalized the character of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s *Ramayan*—and who is currently present on the stage.
Alongside him, the veteran Bhojpuri singer and BJP leader Manoj Tiwari is also present at the ceremony. To ensure the safety and orderly conduct of such a massive crowd, the administration has made robust arrangements, deploying approximately 1,500 police personnel across every corner of the venue.
