Akhilesh Yadav to visit houses of former and Dalit SP MLAs
Akhilesh Yadav has started the first phase of the PDA Yatra from Bachhrawan in Rae Bareli. During this time, he will visit the house of SP MLA and OBC leader Rahul Lodhi from Harchandpur and also meet SP’s SC category MLA from Bachhrawan, Shyam Sundar Bharti. The Rae Bareli police have been accused of misbehaving with the two leaders. These leaders clashed with the police amid the confrontation between the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha and the ABVP, which Akhilesh linked to the insult of the PDA.

Rae Bareli MP Rahul but no Congress MLA
Rahul Gandhi is an MP from Rae Bareli, but since 1999, this seat has been held by the Congress. However, the Congress does not have a single seat in the assembly. There are 6 assembly seats in Rae Bareli, out of which SP had won four seats and BJP had won two seats in the 2022 assembly elections. On a BJP ticket, Aditi Singh won from Rae Bareli Sadar and Ashok Kumar from Salon. On the other hand, Shyam Sundar Bharti won from Bachhrawan, Rahul Lodhi from Harchandpur, Devendra Pratap Singh from Sareni and Manoj Pandey from Unchahar. Later, Manoj Pandey joined the BJP.
Rajbhar linked PDA Yatra to hooliganism
However, on the PDA Yatra, Minister OP Rajbhar said that Akhilesh Yadav is bringing the ‘PDA Rath’ to Rae Bareli today, so that hooliganism and crime can be promoted. Just imagine how rude the district president behaved with the circle officer, he asked the officer to ‘wear bangles’ and said many indecent things. Akhilesh Yadav is going there to justify the same behaviour and support the action of his district president.

Akhilesh’s Rath Yatra in Rae Bareli started from Bachhrawan, where Shyam Sundar Bharti is a SP MLA. They belong to the SC category and belong to the Pasi community. Rahul Lodhi is a SP MLA from Harchandpur, who belongs to a backward community.
